A WESTERN AVERAGE / INTERNATIONALSTUDENT.ORG
WE DEFINE PERSONAL SPACE AS THE AREA SURROUNDING A PERSONTHAT HE/SHE CONSIDERS HIS/HERS TERRITORY OR DOMAIN. CROSSING OR ENTERING SOMEONE ELSE’S PERSONAL SPACE CREATES DISCOMFORTBECAUSE HE/SHE FEELS THE PHYSICAL INTIMACY EXCEEDS THE RELATIONAL INTIMACY. HOWEVER TOO MUCH SPACE CAN ALSO CAUSE
DISCOMFORT AND INDICATE RUDENESS.
